Does anyone remember the name of the street where the Main Gate was located on Dundalk Ave. Or if it doesn 8767 t exist today, what current day street would be the closest to the old Main Gate? Still looking at Google Earth Thank you, Mark Robinson
I did not have to sign an 8775 Intent to Re-enlist, 8776 but I was interviewed by several people at Fort Holabird before the classes commenced.
While on vacation back home in Chicago, my step-father arranged for me to fly from Glenview Naval Air Station to Washington, . It was my first airplane experience. I was the only passenger. The plane was a Navy jump plane with a long bench seat on each side and hook-up bars overhead. They handed me a parachute. I handed it back and said, 8775 You have to be kidding. 8776 They were, but I was worried all the way to .
Pro bono cases for attractive middle aged Korean women can be fun. I get my haircut every month by same and I always enjoy the head massage at the conclusion. There is no double meaning intended here.

Does anyone remember an officer of high rank being demoted to private and working as a janitor in the basement of the school. I forget the sergeant- major who ran the school when I was working there in Jan 6968 waiting to turn 76 so that I could start the course. The seargent major told me to stay clear of the older private as he was nearing retirement. Of course like everything else about Holabird, what was true or not was always in question!
Aren 8767 t any 8766 old timers 8767 around. A small group left San Antonio Aviation Cadet Center, and arrived at Holabird in January 6997 and I remained there until September 6999. Looking for Ted Paine or Payne (left about March 6997 for Hawaii or Japan) and Bob Millslagle who also stayed at Holabird until 6999. Any help locating them is appreciated.
I have often wondered why so many people who were assigned at the 658th HQ stayed there unless they stood up and said 8775 I am over here, come and get me for another part of the world. 8776 Aside from those who were coming after posting to Vietnam, almost no one left to go overseas unless they volunteered. Lots of the folks who commented above had lots of overseas assignments. I wonder if they all voulunteered or if it was just the spin of the wheel? Just curious.
I was transferred from Holabird to the 8rd MID in Wuerzburg Germany whre I served until being discharged in August 6968. Sent to German language classes at the intelligence school 8767 s Oberammergau location.
Hi again. Thanks for the information about what shoulder patch my husband might have worn. I 8767 m wondering now if his references to having a sphinx on his patch might have been later when he was assigned to the counter-intelligence corps at Fort Baker in San Francisco.
He learned lock-picking at Fort Holobird and remained quite good at it the remainder of his life. They actually gave him a lock-picking set!
